Brewing a Great 6-cup Pot of Coffee
Coffee needs to mingle with hot water for a certain length of time to extract all the flavors in the grounds. When you brew half a pot (6 cups) a portion of the coffee flavor remains in the grounds un-extracted.
I have experimented for quite awhile to see if I could overcome this design limitation. This video illustrates the process I use increase the contact time of the coffee and water. It is helpful to have a coffee maker with the “drip stop” feature allowing you to remove the carafe while the filter basket contains liquid.

Brikka Brewing Revisited
Many have asked to the process of brewing espresso with crema using the Bialetti Brikka, and I have made a more detailed video.
This is the 2 cup version. The pot is a couple of years old by now and not very pretty – this does not affect the flavor of the coffee negatively
